Auto Care Mechanic is a mobile mechanic offering exhaust and catalytic converter repair to drivers throughout Beltsville. An exhaust leak is more than noise, since a leak ahead of the cabin can let carbon monoxide into the passenger compartment. A failing catalytic converter often announces itself with a rotten-egg smell, sluggish acceleration and a check engine code for low efficiency. Oxygen sensors on either side of the converter are tested before a converter is replaced, because a faulty sensor can set the same code.
